SC Asks AIAMDK Fraction EPS & OPS To Selection Common Candidate Ahead Of Erode By Poll Election

Описание: The Supreme Court on Friday directed AIADMK factions led by Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) and O Panneerselvam (OPS) to convene a general council meeting to select a common candidate for the party's Erode (East) Assembly by-poll. The court emphasized that the general council meeting will only be used to select candidates for the by-election and will have no bearing on the party's leadership. According to the order, the general council will vote by circulation, and the court has allowed expelled party coordinator OPS and three others to vote as well but has limited the interim arrangement to this occasion and not beyond.
