The DCMS Jerwood Creative Bursaries Scheme was launched on 4th November by Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, and Alan Grieve, Chairman of the Jerwood Foundation, at a reception which was held at the Jerwood Space in South London.
The Scheme, which will springboard talented young graduates into their careers in the arts, focuses on offering opportunities for individuals from less affluent backgrounds who are least able to support themselves through unpaid internships, work experience or training.
Streetwise Opera's mission is to give homeless and formerly homeless people opportunities to further their personal development through participation in music making of the highest professional quality and to promote more positive attitudes towards homeless people
