I'm going to tell you what I eat to prepare my body for fibroid surgery and any other surgery, what I do and do not consume, the doctor's pre-operative instructions, my workout routine, and everything else. I'm starting with when I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids (benign uterine fibroids), monitoring my fibroid sizes (measured in cm and my uterus was measured and compared to pregnancy months), surgery preparation, surgery day, hospital stay, and fibroid surgery recovery. I had an open abdominal myomectomy, some may elect to have a hysterectomy, laparoscopic surgery, or uterine ablation. Some people try different herbs and change the way they eat to treat fibroids. Fibroids are caused by an excess amount of estrogen, so usually when a woman hits menopause the fibroids will begin to shrink in size. The results of my surgery have been night and day, I joke and say that I got a BBL because my stomach is really flat after surgery.
