Dalhousie University political analyst Lori Turnbull describes proposed tariffs by US President-elect Donald Trump as a “complicating factor” for the future of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Once Donald Trump won the election in November and then there was a sense of a clock ticking on what that would mean for Canada when he actually takes office,” Ms Turnbull told Sky News Australia.
“What happens when the tariffs come, if they come, and we don’t have the economic strength to be able to deal with it?”
