Aloo Roti Recipe:
4 cups flour
5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp yeast
~1.75 cups lukewarm water
1 tsp oil (cover dough)
4 potatoes chopped
½ tsp salt
1 tsp roasted ground cumin
1 garlic clove (grated)
1 tsp butter
¼ cup oil
1. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and yeast
2. Slowly add warm into flour and mix into a ball
3. Cover with oil. Let it rest for 30 minutes covered
4. Split the dough into multiple balls (tennis ball size)
5. Boil potatoes
6. Mash potatoes.
7. Add salt, cumin, garlic, and butter and mix
8. Stuff dough balls with mash potatoe mix (~3/4 cup)
9. Flatten dough
10. Heat tawa (flat pan) on high heat.
11. Place flatten dough on tawa. Flip, brush with oil. Flip again, brush with oil. Cook each side until light golden brown. ~30 second each side.
