Описание: ○김대건(金大建, Priest Kim Dae-geon 1821.8.21.~1846.9.16. 25세) 은 한국인 최초의 로마 가톨릭교회 사제이자 순교자, 여행가로, 세례명은 안드레아(Andrew)이다. 2021년 유네스코 세계기념인물로 선정되었다.
○ 어린 시절 이름은 재복(再福)이고, 족보명은 지식(芝植)이다. 성인으로 시성되었으며 축일 (기념일)은 7월 5일이다. 김대건의 가문은 4대에 걸쳐 순교자가 나왔으며 이는 긴 세월을 두고 한 집안이 4대가 사제가 된 사례는 아주 희박한 것이다.
○ 1845년 조선에 입국한 김대건은 용인 일대에서 선교활동에 힘쓰는 한편 외국 선교사들을 영입하기 위해 힘쓰다 1846년 9월 16일 서울 한강변 새남터에서 국문 효수형을 받고 25세의 나이로 순교하였다.
○ 김대건 Priest가 '2021년 유네스코 세계기념인물'로 선정됐다. 김대건 Priest 의 삶과 업적이 유네스코가 추구하는 이념과 부합한다는 점을 들어 세계기념인물로 선정했다
○ 17세 소년 이민식 빈첸시오(1829~1921, 92세)의 헌신과 용기에 대하여, "새남터에 버려진 김대건 신부님의 유해를 지키기 위해 17세 소년 이민식 빈첸시오와 이름 없는 교우들이 어둠 속에서 목숨을 걸고 유해를 처형장에서 빼내어 오자고 뜻을 모았다. 감시의 눈길을 피해 유해를 지게에 모신 이들은 험한 산길을 타며 47일간의 목숨을 건 여정을 함께했다. 한 소년과 뜻을 모은 신자들의 용기와 신앙 공동체의 간절함이 마침내 신부님을 미리내에 안식하게 했다.”
○ 김대건 Priest 는 1845년에 3개월간 [조선전도]를 로마자를 통하여 한국최초로 제작하였다. 그는 15세에 유학생으로부터 24에 사제품을 받기까지 중국의 요동과 만주 및 프랑스의 카톨릭 전교를 위한 외방전교회와 필리핀에서도 외국어, 신학, 철학 및 지리학에 대한 2년간 교육을 받았다. 따라서 조선전도는 500년간 조선의 각종 지리서에 종래 기록된 내용과 특히 18세기 중국이 유럽에 제공한 지도에 조선의 지도가 포함된 것을 반영하여 제작을 한 것이었다.
○ 3개의 성지 –김대건Priest 는 현재 3개의 한국의 가톨릭 성지가 조성되고 있다. 솔뫼(松山)성지는 그가 태어나서 8세까지 탄생(誕生)한 곳이다. 그리고 당시 헌종임금의 박해를 피해서 교우들은 산간벽지로 피해 숨어서 살았는데 그곳이 은이(隱里) 성지이며 15세까지 성장(成長)한 곳이다. 여기서 그는 피에르 모방신부로부터 세례를 받고 또한 신학생으로 선정되어 마카오로 떠날 수 있었다. 그리고 그가 1846년 9월 16일에 새남터에서 처형되어 유해가 모셔진 곳이 바로 영면(永眠)의 미리내 성지이다.
○ 김대건 Priest가 1846.9.16.에 새남터에서 처형되었다는 소식을 들은 골배마실에 살던 가족인 어머니 高 우르술라(66세)와 둘째아들인 김난식 프란치스코(46세) 및 조카인 김현채 토마스(63세)는 바로 가톨릭 신자를 체포하여 처형하는 조선 정부의 역적이 되어 몰래 피난를 가야하는 신세가 되었고 남쪽의 교우촌 산골에 떠나게 된다. 그러나 18년간 살다가 늙게된 어머니는 아들에세 유언을 남기는데 처형당한 김대건 Priest 와 같이 묻히게 해달라고 한다.
● Kim Dae-geon (August 21, 1821 – September 16, 1846, age 25) was the first Korean Roman Catholic priest, martyr, and traveler. His baptismal name was Andrew. He was designated a UNESCO World Monument in 2021.
His childhood name was Jae-bok (再福), and his family name was Ji-sik (芝植). He was canonized, and his feast day (anniversary) is July 5th. Kim Dae-geon's family produced four generations of martyrs, making it extremely rare for a single family to have four generations become priests over such a long period. Kim Dae-geon, who entered Joseon in 1845, devoted himself to missionary work in the Yongin area and worked to recruit foreign missionaries. He was executed by execution at Saenamteo on the Han River in Seoul on September 16, 1846, and martyred at the age of 25. Priest Kim Dae-geon was selected as a UNESCO World Monument Person for 2021. Kim Dae-geon Priest was selected as a UNESCO World Monumental Figure, citing his life and achievements as being in line with the ideals pursued by UNESCO.
○ Regarding the dedication and courage of 17-year-old Vincent Lee Min-sik (1829-1921, age 92), "To protect the remains of Father Kim Dae-geon, abandoned in Saenamteo, 17-year-old Vincent Lee Min-sik and anonymous parishioners risked their lives in the dark to retrieve them from the execution grounds. Avoiding prying eyes, they carried the remains on a carrying pole and journeyed together on a rugged mountain path for 47 days, risking their lives. The courage of this boy, the believers who joined him, and the fervent prayers of the religious community ultimately brought the priest to rest in peace in Mirinae."
○ In 1845, Priest Kim Dae-geon produced the first Korean edition of [Joseon Jeondo] in Roman letters over a three-month period. He studied at the age of 15 as a student abroad, and then at the Foreign Missions Society in France, where he received two years of training in foreign languages, theology, philosophy, and geography. He was ordained a priest at 24. Therefore, his Joseon map was created by reflecting the historical records of Joseon in various geography books over the past 500 years, as well as the inclusion of Joseon maps in maps provided by China to Europe in the 18th century.
○ Three Holy Sites – Priest Kim Dae-geon: Three Catholic holy sites in Korea are currently being established. The Solmoe (松山) Holy Site is where he was born and lived until he was eight. To escape the persecution of King Heonjong, his followers fled to a remote mountainous area, where he lived in hiding. This was the Eunyi (隱里) Holy Site, where he grew up until the age of 15. Here, he was baptized by Father Pierre Maubant and selected as a seminarian, allowing him to travel to Macau. And the place where he was executed at Saenamteo on September 16, 1846, and where his remains are interred is the Mirinae Shrine of Eternal Rest.
○ Upon hearing the news of Priest Kim Dae-geon's execution at Saenamteo on September 16, 1846, the family living in Golbaemasil—mother Ursula Ko (66), second son Francis Kim Nan-sik (46), and nephew Thomas Kim Hyeon-chae (63)—immediately became traitors to the Joseon government, which arrested and executed Catholics, and were forced to flee secretly to a mountain village in the south. However, the mother, now aged after 18 years of life, left a will to her son, requesting that he be buried with the executed Priest Kim Dae-geon.
