Our round-table workshop on January 30, 2025 was on Hyperpolarized NMR for Complex Mixture Analysis.
Analysis of complex mixtures is a common task in many branches of chemistry, be it a complex pharmaceutical formulation, a collection of biofluids analyzed in a metabolomics workflow, or a
flowing mixture in a reaction monitoring setting. Addressing the sensitivity limitations of NMR is particularly crucial for the analysis of complex mixtures, which often contain a great variety of
analytes in very diverse concentrations. Hyperpolarization methods, either based on dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) or para-hydrogen induced polarization (PHIP), have been recently showing strong promises for the analysis of such complex mixtures. In this webinar, three experts will describe how dissolution DNP and non-hydrogenative PHIP can improve the sensitivity of NMR by several orders of magnitude for the analysis of biofluids or extracts, and also how Overhauser DNP approaches can enhance the sensitivity of benchtop NMR for reaction and process monitoring.
