FLOSSTUBE #7 Why is the Smyrna stitch so addictive?! History + WIPs

Описание: In this flosstube, I dive into the Smyrna stitch with a quick history of and a brief tutorial. Then I share my progress on my current focus WIPs which are these beautiful samplers Dorcas Haynes by The Scarlet Letter and Mary Wallace by Cross Stitch Antiques by Kathleen Littleton as well as the United We Stand by Blackbird Designs projects. Mary Wallace was my birthday start for 2025. Dorcas is a SAL that I am working on with some of the gals from Virginia.

I am also sharing progress on the two Christmas projects from last week, Ginger by Stacy Nash and Merry Little Christmas from Shakespeare's Peddler as well as my progress on the current HATS WIP, The Needlework of Oscar Topsfield 1904. And, lastly but not least, it would not be samplers with Blue without Blue.

I am not sure what to do about Ginger, I am not loving the colors that I selected with teh fabric. There is not enough contrast and in my opinion, Ginger looks like she is fading into the fabric. Let me know what you think.
