Mike Defensor: Orly Guteza is alive and safe

Former Congressman Mike Defensor said he recently received information that Sgt. Orly Guteza is alive and doing well, after earlier reports allegedly claimed that he had been killed.

Speaking on #TheSpokes, Defensor said updates about Guteza came through the latter's former colleagues, as he has no direct contact with him or his family. According to Defensor, a message relayed to him two weeks ago said Guteza remains in the Philippines and is "okay."

Defensor added that he could not confirm whether Guteza is under detention, but said the information he received suggested that there was no apparent problem with his condition.
