Under this ambitious welfare initiative, a grand mass marriage ceremony of 201 couples was successfully conducted. In a rare and emotional moment, the Chief Minister himself performed Kanyadaan, symbolizing the state’s responsibility towards the dignity and future of daughters.

Following traditional Odia rituals, the Chief Minister sat as the chief patron in the marriage mandap, offered prayers into the sacred fire, and later sought blessings from Maa Taratarini for the newly married couples and the well-being of all Odia people.

The launch of this scheme marks a significant step toward social welfare, women empowerment, and inclusive governance in Odisha.
