This week I had to opportunity to head out into the snow with the BMPCC 4K, Rokinon 24mm, and Metabones Speedbooster to test out some 2.6K 120p slow motion. It was quite cold so I only was able to pop off a few shots before heading back inside, but I decided to break down what I discovered compared to some 1080p HD 120p I'd shot a year ago during another snowstorm to see how the footage compared.

NOTE: It was brought to my attention in the comments that ProRes at 120p also crops in on the sensor. In the video I make a statement about ProRes under the assumption it did not crop in (having not tested it).
I also break down the actual size difference between 1080p, 2.6k, and 4k visually so you can get an idea of how much more information you're getting with 2.6k than 1080p - and how much you lose compared to 4k.
Uploaded in UHD 4k so you can get all the detail and compare the footage.
