Today we will be going through the chain / rear wheel adjustment procedure on an FXS shovelhead that is currently being restored, however a chain alignment tool I picked up will be used. This Motion Pro model 08-0048 should be better than using site to check alignment.

First, ill need to with an approximation, check the slack and adjust accordingly, followed by an inspection of loose and tight areas of the chain, only then can a proper alignment be done.
The tool did make it easier to precisely set the alignment as demonstrated in the video, where minute adjustments were expressed on the tool.
