Welcome to another Freeze Dry Friday experiment! Today, I'm tackling two exciting (and challenging!) projects: making homemade freeze-dried corn nuts and freeze-dried cheese for delicious, shelf-stable snacks.
Using the nixtamalized corn (hominy) from our last Sunday Funday video, I experimented with a variety of flavors for corn nuts, including simple salted, sweet honey mustard, and bold Thai sweet chili. But not all experiments are created equal – you won't believe the epic fail I encountered with the barbecue flavored corn nuts! Learn from my mistakes so you can avoid a 'jawbreaker' of a snack.
