Cost of private school tuition in Sydney soars

Описание: The cost of sending a child to a private school has ballooned to nearly $50,000 across parts of Sydney.

At least 20 of the city's independent schools are charging more than $40,000 for Year 12 tuition this year.

Some are lifting fees by more than 10 per cent.

The price hikes are being blamed on inflation, rising salaries, increased competition for teachers and cuts in government funding.

All independent schools are expected to lift tuition fees by between five and 15 per cent for 2024.
