Описание: This is the Candy SA68T from 1969. This machine had been conceived to replaced the old Candy SA65 from which it inherited the aesthetic setup but with the 3000 series oscillating group which was introduced with SA98 machine that was Candy's new flagship model. (You can see a video of it here on my channel) The SA68T was a mid-range washing machine, but despite the name had very little to do with the older SA68 model which was the basic machine among the Candy washing machines in production by the second half of the 60s and still had the robust oscillating system of the 2000 series. Along with the SA68T model it was also marketed the SA68BIO version which was intended to be the updated version of the SA88; however both machines were equipped with a new timer which allowed the execution of the BIO program to better exploit the new detergents loaded with enzymes and were advertised as the "SMACCHIALAVATRICI" (STAIN REMOVER WASHERS) Essentially the 68T was equipped with an automatic BIO program with a fixed running time of 2 hours. It was equipped with independent trays for blech and softeners, the spin speed was 500 rpm and it inherited from the older SA45 the program identification icons printed on the dashboard which were subsequently taken as a starting point by Philco to create the program icons of its 1977 washing machines series. The bleaching agents could be loaded automatically during the wash program or used in a "pre-laundry stain removal" program identified by an orange dot on the timer knob and on the dashboard as was the case for the SA88 and SA98 pair. The machine incorporated the "pure wool" and delicate program which was set by depressing a pink button on the dashboard and also had the same "Cott" button (Cottonova or Permanent Press program) which essentially excluded the centrifugation phases. It was equipped with a half load selector and could automatically maintain a temperature of 55 degrees (considered the ideal temperature for the activation of the enzymes contained in organic detergents) for the entire Bio Prewash cycle. The machine was the subject of an intense advertising campaign and due to its innovative characteristics it was highly appreciated abroad, however it was produced for a short period of time because few years later, the arrival of the new Dora and "2.4x" series caused the making of the SA68 series to be discontinued. The 68T offered excellent performance and a modern design, a bridge between the old 60's style and the new trends of the functional and intuitive aesthetics of the Candy of the 70's. The wooden style top covering made it aesthetically pleasing and attractive in addition to the fact that the thermoplastic material used for the machine top ensures great resistance to wear as well as being resistant to detergents. Being made for a short period of time make it a very rare machine, however it can be considered one among the best washing machine model made by Candy.
