plot:
tae and jungkook meet at a coffee shop, and they hit it off almost immediately. I'm leaving this on open ended for the amount of romace - this could be taken as friendship only (who are we kidding tho amirite). taehyung tells jungkook about his dreams to be an astronaut, and because jungkook wants what's best for him, he lets him go. taehyung finally achieves his dream of becoming an astronaut, but it comes with a price - time. time passes differently in space than it does earth, and when taehyung's ship gets damaged while in orbit, the months it take for him to get an escape pod working is decades on earth.
ignore that series of clips after the "years" have gone by when jungkook is still young, pretend it's a flashback lol ok? ok
since tae was disconnected from earth for so long, he missed years of footage sent to him of jungkook hopelessly waiting on him.
though he finally gets back to earth, he's just barely too late - jungkook died hardly a month before of old age, still waiting.
