📝 Synopsis
The movie Aaru Pushpangal (Six Flowers) delivers a poignant late-1970s Tamil social family drama centered on unyielding friendship, self-sacrifice, and emotional entanglements. The story revolves around two inseparable best friends—Ravi (Rajinikanth), a hard-working, intense young man, and Kumaran (Vijayakumar), an easygoing and good-natured companion.

Their life takes an intricate turn when both friends cross paths with Malathi (Srividya). While Kumaran falls in love with her, Ravi unknowingly develops a deep respect and quiet affection for the same woman. Upon realizing his friend's true feelings, Ravi makes a silent, monumental sacrifice for Kumaran's happiness. However, domestic challenges, societal pressures, and intervention from elders (V. K. Ramasamy and Pandari Bai) create tragic misunderstandings that test their unbreakable bond. Renowned for Rajinikanth's intense anti-hero to soulful performer transition and highlighted by M. S. Viswanathan's evergreen compositions (such as "Yaeratha Rayililae"), Aaru Pushpangal remains a treasured 70s classic.
