Today we are going to make a delightful traditional Appalachian stack cake that dates as far back as the 18th century where it was made originally around 1774 using fresh Ginger, as well as making it fragrant with Sorghum Molasses , Cinnamon and Nutmeg. This is an Appalachian favorite! I made it years back and it brought back a lot of old memories for a lot of folks. If you know of it I hope this recipe sparks a fond memory in you as well!
