Why Clare's Bachelorette Season is Getting Recast!

Clare Crawley’s season of the Bachelorette has been put on hold, and it might just lead to NEW contestants on her season!

Ok so, after Clare’s list of contestants was released, bachelor nation had some THOUGHTS.

Many fans pointed out that Clare’s contestants mainly skewed YOUNGER even though she's 38.

One fan tweeted:

i thought the WHOLE POINT of casting a 38 year old bachelorette was to have more mature contestants........then they cast dudes who are FIFTEEN YEARS YOUNGER??????? WHY

And another shared:

the fact that most of the guys that are going to be on clares season of #TheBachelorette weren’t even legally allowed to drink when she was on juan pablo season of the bachelor is just sad

Die-hard fans also recognized a familiar face in the line up,Tyler C’s longtime bff Matt James but they still had questions, like this fan who tweeted:

I can’t believe that with Clare Crawley being #TheBachelorette that they STILL cast Tyler Cameron’s best friend/business partner/roommate, Matt James, as a contestant!?

“Clare, just drag the 28 year old along to final 6 so he can be the next Bachelor” - producers probably

Bachelor Nation originally met Clare on Juan Pablo’s season of the bachelor and he also decided to make his thoughts on her potential romances crystal clear.

He tweeted:

I just SAW the GUYS for @Clare_Crawley Bachelorette season and its gonna be INTERESTING seeing HER get hit on by KIDS on their 20s... I think this MIGHT be the 3rd SEASON Im gonna watch.

Clare fired back writing:

And yet here you are, older than 99% of them and still cant practice compassion and kindness...

When production of the show was postponed due to the coronavirus, fans started calling for at least SOME of the contestants to be RE-CAST in an effort to give Clare a better shot at finding LOVE.

Clare actually endorsed that movment not once but twice on social media.

During an Instagram live she said QUOTE:
“I feel like since we have a break in the show right now, I don’t think it’s too late to submit people. So, submit them, why not? What’s the worst that could happen?”

She also REPOSTED a plea that her friend and former bachelor contestant Michelle Money posted on her insta- story calling for Chris Harrison and the Bachelorette producers to put a little more thought into casting Clare’s season and to find her a quote “manly man.”

Well, Chris Harrison clearly keeps an eye on Bachelor Nation. He just had Clare join him for an instagram live stream, they updated fans about the situation surrounding her season and Chris seemingly confirmed that the casting is not set in stone.

He said QUOTE:

"The chances are, for everybody to be able to put their life on hold and come back again is very slim. So yeah, we are still casting, so if you have somebody you think is great for this beautiful woman right here,"

He also said it’s up in the air if the cast will have completely new faces or a mixture of the previously announced cast and newcomers. That will mainly depend on everyone's schedules after production resumes.
