This sensual bachata bachata demo to Juan Luis Guerra’s “Bachata Rosa” felt amazing, and we’re happy to have been able to capture the moment. From deep connection, to new moves, to beautiful shapes and long lines, to musicality, it really had it all. Thanks to Rosa dance social in NYC for having me come out to teach the advanced workshop. It really felt like home and we received amazing feedback after the class.
This is only the second demo we’ve done together, the first being maybe 5 years ago. It’s special because Ray, now a close friend, took her first ever dance class with me 9-10 years ago when we were both at University of Delaware. Since then we’ve both improved immensely as dancers, continually learning and perfecting our craft over the years. I’m proud of Ray for diving in and really pushing herself to become better and better. The hard work is really showing.
We both coincidentally now live near NYC and will continue to do things together, whether it’s teaching workshops, creating videos, or just practicing.
