This video features and demonstrates the UHD freeware mesh scenery add-on available for X-Plane 12 and 11 released by Alpilotx, UHD Mesh Scenery v4.

This package brings even more highly-detailed mesh to your copy of X-Plane. This is similar to the original HD pack except it's in even higher detail (UHD) which means it shows the ground below - the hills, cliffs, mountains, hills, and craters in even higher detail and resolution.

This package does not cover the entire globe as the HD version does; it only covers specific areas that are worth producing at this greater depth of detail including; New Zealand, Japan, Europe (Pyrenees), Europe (Alps), Europe (Scandinavia), USA (West) and Canada (West).

The package is generated based on 30m DEM data (instead of 90m DEMs) making it UHD.

With a photoreal (orthophoto) base scenery, this mesh pack can produce some stunning and real eye-candy scenes. You can read our photoreal scenery for X-Plane article here (they all work with this pack):

Fly Away Simulation is an official mirror for Alpilotx's UHD Mesh Scenery v4.

These packages are released as freeware which means that they are free to download and use.

Compatible with all versions of X-Plane 12, 11, and possibly (but not tested in) X-Plane 10.
