Though by no means a professional prospector, I've been passionate about panning and prospecting for quite some time. Living in Arizona, a state synonymous with the wild west and the gold rush, there's always gold to be found nearby. Just as the settlers did way back in the 1800's, I travel to Lynx Creek in Prescott, Arizona to look for gold.
The Lynx Creek Gold Pan Area is a publicly-available portion of Lynx Creek in which panning and detecting are both permitted (sluices and other equipment is not), and as I don't own any claims of my own (yet), this is the best spot for me to search. Come along as I attempt to locate water in this seasonally-dry creek and pan for gold.
