There will be late nights for UK-based fans watching Scotland’s games, with the opening match in Boston kicking off at 9pm local time – 2am the following morning back at home.

Scotland will then face Morocco in the same city on June 19, and their final group-stage game will be against Brazil in Miami on June 24.

Former Conservative life peer Malcolm Offord has defected to Reform UK.

Lord Malcolm Offord was announced by Nigel Farage as the latest defector to join the party during a rally in Falkirk.

The Scottish financier previously served as a Scotland Office minister during the last Conservative government, and was the Scottish Tories’ treasurer at the time of his defection.

Farage said he was “delighted” to welcome Lord Offord to Reform, describing his defection as “a brave and historic act”.

He added: “He will take Reform UK Scotland to a new level.”

A groundbreaking trial of a prostate cancer treatment with fewer side effects has begun in the UK, researchers have announced.

Backed by the Government-funded National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the trial will examine whether Aquablation – a therapy using robotics, AI and real-time imaging – works as well or better than traditional surgery, known as radical prostatectomy.

With radical prostatectomy, the entire prostate gland is removed in a bid to cure men of prostate cancer.

The treatment is suitable for men whose cancer has not spread outside of the prostate gland or has spread to the area just outside the gland.
