It's difficult to coach at the REC level at times because some players are advanced, some are average, and some are playing for the first time. The key to running an efficient practice is to break the players up by ability levels and work on their skills separately.

Remember, you don't want the better players to get bored because the beginner level players continue to slow the pace of practice down. On the other hand, you don't want the beginner level players to get nervous and afraid to play with the more advanced group.

Once you break them up and build their skills in small controlled groups, the players will get better in a shorter amount of time and before you know it they will be able to compete together and play together in practice and live situations.
