So You Think You Can Cook? returned to the British School of Bucharest for three days of flavour, focus and fearless creativity. From signature dishes crafted in just one hour to the high-pressure Mystery Box Challenge, students in Years 5–9 stepped into the kitchen ready to impress.
This year’s competition showcased bold combinations, thoughtful plating and confident decision-making under time constraints. Judges evaluated each dish for taste, presentation, creativity and complexity — and the standard was exceptional.
Beyond the competition itself, the experience demanded resilience, independence and composure. Students worked methodically, adapted quickly and demonstrated real culinary instinct — all while maintaining professionalism in a fully equipped school kitchen.
