This guided meditation is designed for Refuge Recovery–inspired Love & Attachment Recovery meetings and for anyone healing from compulsive attachment, love addiction, or relational craving.
In this 15–18 minute practice, we gently explore:
• Noticing craving in the body
• Sitting with the urge to text or reach out without acting
• Observing longing as sensation instead of story
• Practicing renunciation as protection
• Cultivating loving-kindness toward the part that fears abandonment
• Returning to inner refuge
This meditation is rooted in the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, adapted for relational recovery. It supports emotional sobriety by helping us experience craving without being controlled by it.
This is not about suppressing desire or avoiding love.
It is about freeing ourselves from compulsive clinging.
You may use this meditation:
• Before or after a Refuge Recovery meeting
• During periods of no contact
• When experiencing relationship anxiety
• When feeling triggered by abandonment fear
• As part of a daily recovery practice
Recovery is not about eliminating longing.
It is about restoring choice.
