Chinese sticky rice recipe⬇️
This dish is also called no mai fahn, 糯米饭 🍚
Ingredients
3.5 cups sticky rice (sweet rice)
3.25 cups water
2 Chinese sausage (lop cheung), diced
1/3 lb Chinese BBQ pork (char siu), diced
8 dried mushrooms, soaked
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro (optional, for garnish)
1-2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp sugar
Directions
1. Cook rice in rice cooker or pot. Wash rice, drain, and add water. After boiling, story and cover the lid. This takes about 25 minutes
2. Using a frying pan, sauté the mushrooms with 1/2 cup of rare. Season with 1-2 tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp sesame oil, and 1/2 tsp sugar.
3. When the water is absorbed, add the Chinese sausage and BBQ pork. Cook for about 2 minutes, and then turn off the heat.
4. Add green onion to mixture.
5. Add the meat mixture to the cooked rice. Mix well and serve.
6. Garnish dish with cilantro (optional)
There are many different ways to make this dish, though this is the MAMA LAI way.🤓🙌🏽
