President Duma Boko has delivered his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) to the 13th Parliament under the theme “The Steady Path,Delivering on Our Promise, One Step at a Time.” The President assured the nation that his government will not fail in its mission to rebuild Botswana through consistent, accountable, and measured progress.

Addressing lawmakers in Gaborone, President Boko said the new administration’s focus is on steady implementation of promises made to Batswana, prioritising economic revival, job creation, social protection, and transparent governance. He emphasised that transformation requires discipline and patience, adding that his government will build strong foundations rather than rush into unsustainable reforms.

Boko reaffirmed his commitment to inclusivity and responsible leadership, noting that the 13th Parliament must work collectively to deliver tangible results for citizens. He also highlighted youth empowerment, mining modernisation, and energy reforms as key focus areas.

“The path may be steady, but it is sure. We will not fail our people,” he declared to applause. The SONA set the tone for a government determined to deliver its mandate step by step, ensuring stability, accountability, and real progress for Botswana.
