My secret to teaching my toddler how to pronounce the "c" "g" & "k" sounds

Описание: A very easy method for all parents to utilise and help their child learn to pronounce the letters from the throat.

We spent a good year and a half worrying about Ashly as his speech wasn't improving and he had issues communicating at child care so we were making enquiries with therapists that would cost over $100 an hour for each consult. Worst of all friends would say those professional visits were not very effective either so I decided to spend a lot more time observing him instead and trying to logically understand where the problem was.

First hurdle was the "L" and after countless repetitions and examples from me I eventually conquered that dilemma but the "c" "g" & "k" proved to be much harder. So many times we'd be singing together and trying to get him to pronounce those letters but to no avail.

The main points I realised is that he couldn't generate the sound from his throat and that he didn't know how to speak with his mouth open wide. Then came the idea of mine to put an object "in this case a carrot" into his mouth and teach him to speak this way.

If I videoed the first instance you would see that he had great difficulty making any sort of a noise once his mouth was open. So I kept making coughing noises for him to copy whilst giving him a lolly in between breaks to entice him.

After 5 mins it was all smooth sailing as he begun realising that he could make the sound from his throat and it seems a great weight has been lifted from our shoulders now that he can make foot steps towards communicating better and speaking in a manner that anyone can understand and not just ourselves.

I'm very proud now and wanted to share this method with everyone that is going thru the same issues as us. It's not painful in anyway and quite fun to watch how fast the learning process actually is once they have the technique down pat.

When they learn that they can generate the noise from their throat they will be on their merry way to talking their brains off fluently.
