ILO is closely working with the government, workers, and employers to advance decent work in the garment sector in Bangladesh. As part of this, factories have been assisted in establishing and strengthening safety committees to promote safety and health as fundamental principles and rights at work. Now, safety committees at the factory level are playing a vital role in promoting better working conditions for workers in the country's apparel sector.
