Legacy Box Review by a Pro - This Company is an Outright SCAM Do Not Send Them Anything

Описание: This video is part of a retransfer order by a customer that handed over 18 tapes to legacy box, six months later, returned to him, and six of the video tapes had a sticker stating that they could not be transferred and approximately six of them had sticker saying that the digital copy was poor, because of the condition of the original tapes.

Customer was heartbroken and obtained a second opinion after finding one of our videos on YouTube with legacy box redo orders.

Tapes were retransferred by Got Memories, and all 18 tapes came out perfectly with minor issues. There were a couple of spores of mold on one tape which was cleaned and played perfectly after and another tape had a broken housing, which was fixed and again played perfectly.

Overall everything came out extremely well. In comparison, the digital copies that were produced by legacy box were all poor quality or not transferred at all the differences were night and day.

After the redo, the customer reached out to legacy box for a refund and they refused at first and then they did request that a comparison was given to them so they could assess a possible refund which is why this video was made by Phil @ Got Memories at the request of the customer to submit to legacybox staff to prove to them that a better quality image could be obtained and the tapes that they had deemed unreadable were actually readable so the customer could obtain a refund which as of months later to our knowledge, no refund has been given even though multiple staff members from this company have viewed this video.

This is a commonplace tale by legacy box. Any tape that gives a poor picture, they are putting stickers on tapes letting customers know that the reason for the atrocious quality of the digital file is not them but the customers video tape when actually it IS them. It’s coming from worn out VCRs with dirty clogged heads and incompetent staff that do not care.

This practice is very common with legacybox southtree studios and Kodak digitizing services, which are all the same company.

At Got Memories we are constantly seeing the same story played over and over.

This tactic by legacy box is ethically & morally questionable.
