Описание: There is a lot of debate and controversy over the subject of the spiritual gifts. Many people believe that the miraculous spiritual gifts were limited only to the Apostles and their close associates. They contend that sole the purpose of the miraculous gifts was to authenticate the message of the Apostles and their revelation. They use the term "sign gifts" and argue that the miracles, signs and wonders were only given to authenticate the Apostles and the message that they preached. But is this true? I personally am not convinced of this argument. When I look at the New Testament I see the spiritual gifts operating through ordinary believers all over the New Testament Church. The gifts of the spirit were exercised by men and women alike including the gift of prophecy. When I look at scripture I do not see anything to suggest that the gifts have ceased and therefore, I reject cessationism and am not a cessationist.
