The Voith Gearbox

Описание: Here is a video which describes what the voith gearbox sounds like. Voith is the cheapest out of the three main gearboxes but is also not the same quality as Allison and ZF. Voith puts more strain on the engine than the other gearboxes as it holds onto its gears for alot longer than the others. Also a fault with it its revs can be stupidly low in neutral which makes the bus feel like the driver slammed their foot on the breaks but really its the gearbox.

Here is whats in the video and anything particularly 'voithy' about it:
PN02KCC (Dennis Dart): The best voith ive heard with whining, whooing and a screaming retarder! Also doing the revs in neutral - the first one saying the bus has stopped and the second preparing the bus for motion (but the bus wasnt going anywhere, a glitch in the system!). Also being typical voith and holding onto gears for a hell of a long time!
GN04UFL (Volvo B7TL): Not really whining but in gear three making a noise which reminds me of electricity - not sure how else to describe it! Also showing how when slowing down voith changes gears until the last possible second. And although you can see it in the video this bus kept doing a jolty gear change from gear 1 to 2.
GX54DVJ (Dennis Trident): Similar to the one above really, not whining still but a slight retarder can be heard when slowing down, then a gurgly noise in gear 2 and the electric noise in gear 4. These Tridents sound and are better than the B7TLs.
YJ57BKG (VDL DB250): Lots of sound effects here and similar to KCC with whooing, whining and the retarder but revs sinking as it hits neutral.
X607VDY (MAN 18.220): This bus it utter shite and its gearbox is part of the problem, ive been on it before where eery gear change has been jolty which has been fixed but its revs are still sinking in neutral which isnt nice but not as badly as OU51WLNs sink! You can also hear a slight retarder when the bus slows down.
P814GMU (Volvo Olympian): A very whiny voith and a slight retarder - it breaks down because of its dodgy fuel pump which is this buses main fault.
MX06XAW (Enviro 400 Dennis Trident): Similar to DVJ but with a massive whining!
