Hello Friends

Here we have a 1984 Mexican Spec Ford Mustang Coupe.

This was the last year the Mustang was made in Mexico as the V8 engine was banned in passenger cars for the 1985 model year.

Ford never put anything less than a V8 in a Mustang in Mexico since 1964 1/2 and they weren't going to start at that point.

This is not a restored car nor is it original.

This is a personalized car that is in daily use.

Most of the 1984 Mustang Coupes in Mexico used the Capri front end, but a few were made like this.

Under the hood is a Mexican 302 V8 mated to a 4 speed manual transmission.

Keep in mind, the gas crisis never hit Mexico so the compression was never lowered in this engine nor was the power sapping smog equipment used.

A small hood scoop has been installed and is functional. It works with the snorkel under the hood to force air into the air cleaner.

The black paint is nice, but not perfect. A paint correction would do wonders. Remember it is a daily driver.

While the tail lights look like they are from the US Spec SVO with the black lines on them, they are not. That is black pinstripes to make it look that way.

The interior features grey cloth seats. It is not fancy but still very nice.

This is an air conditioned car, however there is no belt on the compressor. You should figure the system will need work.

The car lives in a fairly cool area so air is not needed.

It is riding on styled 5 spoke wheels with decent tires.

It is always best to get a new set of tires when you buy a car, for your own peace of mind.

The exhaust comes out the side in front of the rear wheels so you will be able to hear that beautiful low rumble of that 302 Windsor.

The interior needs a few small items but they are easy to find.

We all know the V8 manual coupe is the Mustang to have. This is the one you want.

The vehicle landed in Nogales Mexico will be $9,100 dollars.
