Breaking News: Nine persons surrendered before Egmore Metropolitan Court in connection with the Thursday night murder of a BJP panchayat chairman near Chennai's Poonamalle. PPG Shankar (42), the panchayat president of Valarpuram, near Sriperumbudur, was killed. He was also the state treasurer of the Tamil Nadu BJP's SC-ST wing. To apprehend the culprits, the police had organised four special teams. According to authorities, the incident occurred about midnight on Thursday when Shankar was driving back from Chennai. When the car reached the Nasaratpet signal on the Poonamalle highway, a gang unexpectedly stopped it and threw a country bomb at it. Watch the news to know more.
