FORGOT ROOT PASSWORD IN LINUX

if root password is forgotten

poweroff r restart the machine and enter e to go into emergency mode after goto 16th line and replace "rhgd quiet" with "rd.break" and type "Ctrl+x" to save and mount -o remount,rw /sysroot and then run to chroot /sysroot and give passwd using passwd root and set new password after to update the autorelabel using touch /.autorelabel and the exit abd restart

1. Restart machine
2. Press e to go into emergency mode
3. Goto Line 16 And replace "rhgd quiet" with "rd.break"
5. "Ctrl+x" to save
6. mount -o remount,rw /sysroot
7. chroot /sysroot
8. passwd root
9. Set New password
10. touch /.autorelabel
11. exit
12. exit
13. Restart

Please note that resetting the root password should be done with caution and only when necessary. Make sure to keep your root password secure and remember it to avoid any potential security risks.
