Backstabbing: How Majur back-stabbed his cousin Machok by taking his girl friend Achol

Описание: Backstabbing is the story of the two cousins who have lived together for years. Majur went to the United States of America and left Machok in Africa. Being in the USA gave Majur the ability to work and be able to support Machok’s education and livelihood back in Africa. While in School, Machok met a girl named Achol, the two have been dating each other for years and hoping that they will get married one day. When Machok heart from his cousin Majur that he was about to embark on an African’s trip to visit the family, Machok saw this as the opportunity to introduce Majur to his girlfriend Achol.

Machok asked Achol to schedule the date so the two can visit her in her house. As tradition in the Dinka community, the two men would have to go the where the girl lives. After Majur arrived from the USA, the two went to Achol’s house on Thursday. After their arrival at Achol’s house; Majur had some cultural-shock issues. He picked the bottle of soft drink on the table and drink from the top of the bottle. Machok was shocked by the behavior and he condemned Majur for violating cultural norms and practices. Majur was struggling with his language too, he was using unpleasant language to describe the looks of the girl with jargons.

In the story, Majur started to act weird after seeing the beautiful Achol, at that moment, he had the desire and great need to snatch Achol from Machok. He was busy taking in the appropriate selfie and some weird greetings that can only be conducted by a boyfriend. Machok suspected the behavior but said nothing until they left the house. Majur then did the big move by asking the number of Achol directly.

The following day, Majur contacted Achol and asked her to meet ‘them’ at the café at Langalanga. Achol agreed to wish that she would meet the two cousins at the café. The whole thing turns out that Majur was the only person at the café and he needs to talk to Achol about Machok.


While at the café, Majur unleashed the worse gossiping and vilification of Machok as an incompetent individual. He went further by telling Achol not love Machok because he would be a worse husband due to his lousy and lazy attitude. Majur cited the care and the upbringing role he played in Machok’s life and how unworthy it was for Achol to love such kind of human?

The sad part of all these is that Machok caught them in the act and he was standing behind Majur during such conversations. Achol saw him too and she never alerted Majur about the present of her supposed boyfriend. In the end, Majur introduced himself as the most trustworthy man, the rich and the well-qualified man who loves and should marry Achol. Achol agreed and she gave the very expensive phone worth over 2000 dollars and promised heaven and earth.
The poor Machok tried to come in and he was pushed away by Majur and rejected by achol when he tried to talk to her. “Achol, what happens? Asked Machok. The rude Achol asked angrily and threw her hand on air, ‘what is it that you asking?’ That is the end of Machok relationship with Achol and his cousin Majur.

Moral
Never take advantage of your brother because you have the ability to. And for girls, materials will never sustain your love.
