This is what the Pergola & Hill Garden is all about. It's a place to lose yourself away from the crowds and immerse yourself in nature It's a place for a walk and a stroll with something stunning to look at at every twist and turn. It's a place so amazing that I'm incredulous more people don't know about it. The Hampstead Pergola and Hill Garden is London's best kept secret park. It's English country garden at it's very, very best and, in truth, it doesn't feel very English at all. As I walk around the pergola I feel as if I'm in Italy or Greece or somewhere very foreign and exotic. This place is a quiet oasis in the midst of buzzing London and is really easy to get to by public transport. Take the tube (aka subway) to either Golders Green or Hampstead and from either of those stations it's about a 15 minute walk. The road you have to go down to access it is called Inverforth Close and from there follow the sign to the Hill Garden...as I've said, this is London's best kept secret park so please be sure not to tell too many other people about it!!
