MACC probes more than 10 high profile cases since January

Описание: The MACC had taken action on at least 10 major and high-profile cases since January, underscoring its commitment to combating corruption in the country.

The success is expected to be followed by several more mega investigations this year, continuing the agency's strong momentum in 2025, which had been described as its most outstanding year since its establishment.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki had previously described 2025 as the agency's best year, with at least nine mega and high-profile cases brought to legal action, including those involving senior government officials.

Throughout 2025, MACC seized approximately RM567 million under the Macc Act 2009 and RM6.3 billion under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (Amlatfpuaa 2001).
