We came to Australia with a dream: live here for 6 months, experience the Aussie lifestyle, join a local soccer team, let our daughter make friends, and truly settle into life on the Gold Coast. But reality hit. With a weak Norwegian krone, high rent prices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, expensive Airbnbs, visa limitations, and the rising cost of living in Australia, our budget simply can’t handle it.
