This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In this talk, Matt Thekkethala addresses how rethinking education in underdeveloped nations will lead to more productive work forces in those nations and worldwide.
Matt Thekkethala '15 is passionate about educating under-privileged children in underdeveloped communities. In 2011, he started the Learn For Life Foundation (www.learnforlifefoundation.org) to raise awareness and funding for one of the world's first holistic educational institutions for children with HIV in rural India where he has worked and taught over the past three years. Matt is also producing a documentary film on the educational journey of these children. In this talk, Matt addresses how rethinking education in underdeveloped nations will lead to more productive work forces in those nations and worldwide.
