Dead by Daylight's 2v8 is a limited-time game mode featuring two Killers against eight Survivors on larger maps, replacing traditional hooks with a cage system and perks with a class-based system. The latest iteration (active Feb 2026) adds new killers like The Ghost Face and The Oni, along with updated features like survivor-reviving "pilots" and improved map rotation.
Key Features of the 2v8 Mode:
Gameplay Loop: 2 Killers, 8 Survivors, 13 generators (8 must be repaired).
No Hooks: Downed survivors are sent to "cages".
Survivor Classes: Players choose from Medic, Guide, Scout, or Escapist classes instead of individual perks.
