The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is an emission control device that is placed on the exhaust collector and regulates the burnt gases returning to the collector inlet. The purpose of the EGR valve is to reduce the NOx.

When the EGR valve, by the deposit of soot and sludge, cannot breathe normally, serious problems can arise, such as:
