Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse, is a three-time Academy Award®-nominated, two-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning and three-time Peabody Award-winning producer. Blumhouse, is a film, television and gaming company regarded as the driving force in horror, having produced iconic franchises. Following Blumhouse’s merger with James Wan’s Atomic Monster in January 2024, the combined companies are responsible for nearly $10 Billion in worldwide box office, and have represented approximately 50% of the horror market in the last ten years. Together they have produced nearly 250 movies and television series, including the most successful horror franchise in history with the Conjuring Universe, making Blum and Wan the most prolific and successful independent producers of the last decade. James A. Janisse is the founder and co-owner of Dead Meat, a YouTube channel devoted to horror movies. His love for the genre goes back to his childhood, when he taught himself HTML to code a website about horror movies where he counted up their kills – an early prelude to his successful show “The Kill Count.” The show was launched alongside Dead Meat in 2017 and has evolved over the years to include production information and serve as sort of “mini-documentaries.” As a company, Dead Meat has begun moving into the production space, making a music video for T-Pain and serving as producers for several short films. James is also an actor and can be seen in Scream (2022) and the upcoming Grind by Brea Grant and Ed Dougherty.
