It's best to start first with a pilot. This way, your key influencers will experience what coaching really is, and you can have a great conversation about where coaching fits in your organization. Bottom line: you want to work with the willing. If your senior leaders don't see coaching as a priority, it's likely that one department or division can start with using coaching approaches, and then coaching can spread from there. Or, sometimes organizations say that middle-managers or a certain group of people could use coaching as a leadership style. This can also be a great place to start.
Just make sure that you have an area where you can get great traction, and gather stories about how coaching has made a difference in that area. Then, you can prepare the next group to instill coaching as a culture, spreading coaching throughout your organization
