Epiphone's reasonably authentic reissue of the Firebird V captures the vibe of this now iconic design, to the point it's almost a dead ringer for its modern Gibson counterpart. Dave coaxes out some old-time licks from the nicely balanced mini-humbuckers, that seem to make good on the originals distinct chime, boosted with plenty of muscle.
Dave uses a Fender 57 Custom Tweed Deluxe amplifier with a Strymon Lex, Boss Blues Driver and Dunlop Billy Gibbons Octavio.
