Chicago-rooted rap duo The Cool Kids released their seventh studio album “Hi Top Fade” back in October. The project, their first release in three years, hearkens back to the origins of hip-hop by incorporating classic elements (think breaks and scratches). Made up of rappers Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish, the duo sat down with Vocalo host Nudia Hernandez to discuss the new album and how rap was always supposed to be fun. The Cool Kids will end their tour in Chicago at the Empty Bottle on Dec. 19.
