❯❯ As 2024 has started, new updated diesel applications and current diesel trucks are enhanced with new software and hardware. Tony Salas, instructor will review the past issues and issues he has seen in 2023.
❯❯ Major issues which continue to be an issue with current applications is resetting a system with aftertreatment system that is on a derate condition. Another major issue has been clearing a message on the dash which threatens to derate and may not have a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) set.
❯❯ Training will cover the programming and updates that are needed in vehicles today. Salas will discuss the subsystems which are the common rail fuel systems, the continued use of a fuel pump control module, turbocharger actuators and intake design.
❯❯ A review on technician competency must be reviewed. Where are you with today’s diesel? Mechanical, electrical and electronic skills need to be updated to address 2023 to 2024 and beyond.
