The Fenix LR40R V2 is a very powerful rechargeable flashlight, especially suited for search and rescue tasks. The LEDs on the edges of the head, designed for close-range lighting, provide wide illumination and produce a maximum light output of up to 12,000 lumens, according to the manufacturer. The target light in the centre of the luminaire produces a maximum luminous intensity of 3000 lumens and a very intense and narrow beam with a range of up to 886 metres. Both light systems can be used either together or separately, and when both are used simultaneously, a maximum light output of 15000 lumens and a beam spread of up to 900 metres can be achieved. The luminaire is powered by a built-in high-capacity (3 x 5000 mAh) battery, which is smoothly charged via modern USB-C charging. In addition, the lamp is equipped with a USB-A output port, which allows the battery to be used as a backup power source for e.g. a phone.

All functions of the lamp can be operated with one hand using a simple twist switch and an electronic push button. The desired mode (target light, passing beam or a combination of both) is selected by turning the switch and the power mode is activated by pressing the push-button. The luminaire also has a separate strobe light function which can be used, for example, for signalling. A smart backlight sensor built into the luminaire detects if there is an obstacle in front of the lens, automatically reducing the light output to a safe level to prevent damage to surfaces. The high-speed USB-C charging port supports QC2.0 and PD2.0 charging protocols, and the battery can be charged from empty to full in just four hours. Two-year (24 months) warranty!
