Nine months in the making, this cover of MJ's Thriller was done to teach myself Logic Pro after switching from Pro Tools, to force myself to play each part all the way through without copy/paste, and to highlight the various instruments in my collection.

It could not be done without my nearly-lifelong best friend and musical collaborator, Damon Mollenkopf, who has been battling (and winning!) a medical scare with one last big treatment push starting tomorrow, May 5, 2025. It took us extra long to get this completed while he danced with the hounds of chemo-hell.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to ‪@anthonymarinellimusic‬ for sharing all of his synth genius and experience with the Thriller album and programming in general, as well as the amazing Greg Phillinganes. Greg appears in many of Anthony's videos about the making of Thriller and I watched him play these parts for months on end.
